Paris, Berlin, July 7th, 2025. Partech, the global technology investment platform, is proud to elevate five investors who reflect their belief in independent thinking, long-term partnerships, and bold ambition. These promotions signal more than progression, they reflect Partech’s conviction in people who bring fresh perspectives and focus to Europe’s most ambitious entrepreneurs. They follow a strong first half of 2025—with six new portfolio companies and three exits.
Scaling Early-Stage Ambitions: Seed Team Promotions
Partech’s Seed strategy thrives on first principles thinking - backing, enabling, and supporting visionary founders at zero and supporting them through scale. Recently, the team announced two new investments in ai|coustics and Yampa, alongside major follow-on rounds in Quibim ($50M Series A), METYCLE (€14.1M Series A), Epsor (€16M Series C), Merama ($215M raise), Pennylane (€75M Series D), Vsora (€40M round), and Orus (€25M Series B).
Alison Imbert promoted to Partner
Alison joined Partech in 2018. Since then, she has invested in around 20 companies at seed stage. Prior to Partech, she spent four years as a Senior Consultant at Roland Berger in Paris, where she focused on private equity and data science projects. Alison holds a Master of Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris and studied Data Science at Ecole Polytechnique.
Romain Lavault, General Partner, comments:
“Alison has consistently demonstrated a sharp instinct for identifying and backing exceptional Founders at the earliest stages. She’s been instrumental in supporting companies like Pennylane, Joko, Epsor, METYCLE, Orus or CO2 AI. She is ranked extremely highly by our Founders and established herself as a pillar of our Seed strategy as we scale our European operations.”
Moritz Steinbrecher promoted to Principal
Moritz joined Partech in 2021, following his passion for backing founders at the earliest stages and his conviction for European tech. With the Seed team, he has contributed to and led investments in developer and infrastructure topics, deep tech and SaaS. His venture career started with b2venture (formerly btov), and continued at Delivery Hero’s venture arm. He holds degrees in Business and in Analytics.
Boris Golden, General Partner, comments:
“Moritz has been promoted to Principal, not only in recognition of his outstanding contributions to Partech’s Seed strategy, but as he is now assuming a larger and larger role, also spearheading our Berlin office. Moritz has a sharp eye for early-stage opportunities in dev-tooling, deep tech, and the DACH ecosystem in particular. He played a vital role in sourcing, evaluating, and supporting our investments in many companies, such as in Enter, FlexAI, Lun, and Pydantic.”
Ariadne Lemieux-Cumberlege promoted to Senior Associate
Ariadne joined Partech in 2023, with prior experience in Sales Ops & Strategy at Pennylane, a Seed portfolio company. Beforehand, she took her first steps in the tech ecosystem at Société Generale Ventures where she focused on fintech. Ariadne holds a Bachelor's degree in Politics and Economics from UCL in London and a Master's degree in Finance from Sciences Po Paris.
Romain Lavault, General Partner, comments:
“Ariadne has shown a remarkable ability to identify and partner with exceptional founders from the very earliest stages—often pre-product and pre-revenue. She’s already been a key partner in our investments in ai|coustics, METYCLE, Presti, Yampa and many others, and we’re excited to see her continue to grow in this new role.”
Building Category Leaders: Venture Team Promotions
Partech’s Venture team delivered a strong first half of 2025, marked by two exits—SideCare (with a strategic investment from Malakoff Humanis) and Memfault (acquired by Nordic Semiconductor). The team also closed four new deals (RockFi, Shakers, Mercanis, and Cloudquery), alongside notable follow-on rounds, including Shippeo’s $30M raise and Rinse’s $32M Series D.
Simone Riva promoted to Partner
Simone joined Partech in 2021. Prior to Partech, he worked at H14, a leading Italian Family Office, where he led the Direct Investment strategy investing from Series B to Pre-IPO. Before this, he spent four years at Bain & Co, specializing in healthcare and private equity. Simone holds a Master’s in Management from ESCP Europe, and another in Business Administration from the University of Turin.
Philippe Collombel, Founding and General Partner at Partech, comments:
“Simone has been a major contributor to the Venture strategy since his arrival in 2021. He has played a key role in our investments in Exein, Koro, Shakers, SmartPricing, and Retraced. We’re delighted to welcome Simone to the partnership—this promotion is a well-deserved recognition of his impact and commitment to Partech’s mission.”
Julia Najman promoted to Senior Associate
Julia joined Partech in 2024. She began her career in infrastructure private equity at Macquarie and EDF, before pivoting to technology investments. She then spent a year in Growth Equity at Red River West and another at 360 Capital, covering pre-seed investments in France. Julia holds a Master’s in Management from HEC Paris.
Reza Malekzadeh, General Partner at Partech, comments:
“Julia has played a key role in expanding Partech’s sourcing efforts and has been instrumental in closing new investments such as Retraced, RockFi, and Shakers. She’s also a trusted partner to both her colleagues and the leadership teams of our portfolio companies.”
In H1 2025, Partech was featured in five industry rankings, including Sifted’s list of the most active tech investors in Europe, Dealroom’s top value seed investors, and CB Insights’ Top 50 Venture Firms in France—where Partech ranked #1.
